Dirty water and garbage make you sick! – We become active!
So many times I ask the people in the village “Why did this child die? Why did this woman have to die? …. “And I always get the same answer:” We don’t know. It went so fast …… “. I think I know more and more: very often the reason is the polluted drinking water and the waste everywhere behind the houses, behind the market, next to the paths from the main road into the bush. On average, once a week all the garbage is burned in front of the house.
There is no awareness that the waste causes disease. The exhaust gases of the smoke when burning around is harmful. And there is no way for most people in the village to have clean drinking water. A well is usually not affordable. Only a few are in possession of a well with really clean water. We now want to be active with children and young people and also to train their awareness of it.
With our tractor, we can transport collected garbage bags to a property provided by the mayor outside the village and burn them there. But only until we have our recycling concept financially on the legs. In addition, we get support from the company Novamem, which provides us for the test filter for drinking bottles and taps. The handling for the users is simple and effective. So we start in the kindergarten, in the school and within the families of our club members. This allows us to better monitor changes and
