“Honey is a gift from god”
Frank Weiß, the founder of “beefuture – future for bees” accompanied Eva Mück to Kafountine to get to know the village, to get an idea of our work and especially to share his knowledge about beekeeping and honey production with our beekeeper Nouha Diatta.
We are incredibly happy about this support and look forward to an exciting further collaboration and development of our bee project. Frank Weiss’ knowledge about the life of bees is enormous and incredibly interesting and fascinating. No wonder, that our bee colonies are growing healthily. We’ll produce the best and most honest honey across the globe!
In Kafountine, honey has a special meaning for many people. They are aware that this sweet food not only tastes good, but is also a remedy. In Senegal, a jar of honey costs a month’s wages! That’s about 26€ – no one in Europe would spend that much money on a jar of honey. But here people regard honey as a gift from God. This appreciation benefits our project.
Thank you, dear Frank Weiss, for your support! Without bees there is no survival on our planet. That’s why we need people like you, who want to make a difference, with great commitment, far beyond the country’s borders. Together we can make the world a little bit better!
